Bendorf lays at the right side at the Rhein between Koblenz and Neuwied. Definitely worth seeing is the “Schloss Sayn” (the castle of Sayn) in a new-gothic style and the “Rheinische Eisenkunstguss Museum”. It tells the story of mining in Bendorf. If you’re searching fun for the whole family try the “Schmetterlingsgarten Sayn”. It’s a small “zoo” for butterflys from allover the world. For more sporting activity there is a climbing forest for small and tall.

Andernach is one of the oldest citys in germany. It’s about quarter of an hour by car to drive from Koblenz to Andernach. The biggest attraction of the city is the “Andernacher Geysir”. This geyser is with 50 to 60 meters the highest cold water geyser at the world. At the Rhein plants you can walk a nice route and if you get hungry just eat the tasty fruits you can find in the whole city. Like other citys in germany, Andernach is an “eatable city”. It means they plant fruits and vegetables all over the town and the people just can eat it. This project is meant to direct attention to reagional and saisonal food.

In the region of Rhein and Mosel is Neuwied the second biggest city. It offers both, culture and entertainment. The landmark of Neuwied is the great Raiffeisenbrücke (large bridge), which connects Neuwied with Weißenthurm (another town at the Rhein). Downtown you’ll find the castle of Neuwied and the castle of Engers in the same named district of Neuwied. For fun with the whole family you could visit the Pfingstkirmes (funfair in may/june) or the zoo in the district Heimbach Weis.
